The price cut seems a little early given Sprint only launched the 4G smartphone last week for $199.99. Amazon and Best Buy currently sell the subsidized device for $179.99.
Radio Shack is also offering free Fedex shipping.
Sprint's data plans start at $69.99/month for 450 minutes and unlimited data; the nation's third-largest network bills itself as the only carrier with truly unlimited (in other words, no throttling) plans.
Mobile analyst Sascha Segan gave the Photon 4G an Editor's Choice award in his review, praising the optional desktop dock that transforms the phone into a nettop (similar to the Motorola Atrix 4G), global compatibility, high-res screen, and high-end music and video players.
"The Photon is Sprint's best multimedia phone, with more memory, a higher-resolution camera and better output options than the HTC EVO 3D," he wrote.
The Photon 4G comes with a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1Ghz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB on-board storage, an 8MP rear camera, and VGA front cam, Sprint's Wimax 4G speeds, and ships with Android 2.3.2.
