HTC willing to talk it over with Apple on patent suits

Apple and HTC have been locked in patent suits for some time now and have each won a battle in the ongoing war against each other. Now HTC CFO Winston Yung came up and said “We’re open to having discussions.” in order to resolve matters outside the courtroom.

Yung also quoted saying “We have to sit down and figure it out,” and that HTC is "open to all sorts of solutions, as long as the terms are fair and reasonable".

The International Trade Commission (ITC) has ruled that Apple has violated two S3 Graphics patents related to compression technology while HTC infringes upon two Apple patents related to data-detection and transmission.

We guess we'll have to wait to see what the Cupertino-based company's thoughts are on the matter as no official word has come out yet.

Hopefully, these issues with patents will soon be resolved properly as currently lawsuits are flying about the tech world uncontrollably and this could distract manufacturers from the ultimate goal of bringing new devices to the market.
