Samsung I9220 confirmed by the DLNA, is it a phone, is it a tab?

Yesterday, we uncovered a cornucopia of Samsung devices along with many of their specs. Some we knew about, some we didn't, but it was certainly very exciting.

Nine devices in total, the I9250, I9220, I9210, I8150, B5510, S5360, S5610, P6200, P6210 and S5380 were all uncovered and all had varied spec sheets to show off.

Now however, the I9220 has some certificates to back up its authenticity. The I9220 looks to have already undergone the DLNA's test process and you can see a copy of the certificate to prove it, here. The tests in question look to be referring to the I9220's media capabilities with a focus on images, video and audio. Based on the fact that it's passed their tests, that means it's one step closer to an official announcement, the question is when.

The Samsung I9220 is expected to come running Gingerbread 2.3.3 with a 4.3" SuperAMOLED rumored to have a 1280x720 resolution. The whole thing will run on a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and sport an 8 MP camera on the back as well.

What's interesting about this device is that performing a product search on the DLNA website and choosing '2011 Samsung mobile devices', lists the I9220 in both the tablet and mobile categories. Take it a step further and it states the I9220 as a "Galaxy Tab GingerBread Version derivative model", meaning that if the I9220 is the 4.3" display-bearing device that we are expecting it to be, that also makes it one of the smallest tablets Samsung has ever produced, (and also changing our tally from yesterday to 3 Android tabs and 2 Bada devices).

Perhaps the ambiguity of this device is in part intended to keep us guessing, but whatever it may be, we can't wait to get our hands on it.
