Design and Features
The NP-RF511-S03 comes in a black casing with a chrome-like sheen, and measures 14.9 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 1.23 to 1.45 inches thin. Its brushed metal face houses a full-sized keyboard complete with numeric keypad as well as a trackpad. A 1.3 megapixel webcam sits above the laptop's 15-inch LED, and two stereo speakers are packed within its chassis.
In its side, users will find an embedded Blu-ray drive along with an HDMI output, audio in and out jacks, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, two standard USB ports, two USB 3.0 ports and more. The NP-RF511-S03 also sports a 4-in-1 media card reader with support for SD, SDHC, SDXC and MMC formats.
In addition to an Intel Core i5 processor with hyper threading, this notebook packs a 1GB Nvidia Optimus GeForce GT 540M video card, a 640GB hard drive and 6GB of DDR3 memory. The NP-RF511-S03 also features integrated wireless LAN with Intel WiDi, or wireless display, support. Thanks to its FastStart feature, this laptop can boot up from sleeping in just three seconds. The NP-RF511-S03 runs on a 6-cell lithium-ion battery, and comes with Windows 7 Home Premium.
